RETROFIT FOR THE FUTURE

AYLESBURY

10 Haddington Way, Aylesbury is a Technology Strategy Board (TSB) funded Retrofit for the Future project.

The project team developed a solution to deliver a whole-house approach to the improvement of the dwelling. The range of retrofit works involved improving the building fabric (insulation, air tightness and thermal bridging), the building services (heating, hot water, ventilation, fixed lighting and domestic appliances) and renewable energy systems (solar water heating and solar power). The development of the improvement specification was supported by whole-house energy performance analyses using the PassivHaus Planning Package (PHPP).

The project is featured as a case study in RIBA Publications “Residential Retrofit: 20 Case Studies” by Marion Baeli.
