The buildings fresh and optimistic appearance responds to the ‘English Riviera’ location and the materials and building form are inspired by a number of Art Deco Villas which can be found in the Torbay area.

An extensive range of communal facilities will be accessible to the outside community. The cafe, main lounge and sub lounges are carefully located to enable residents to view the ëcoming and goingsí of visitors. Within the circulation spaces, alcoves at each apartment entrance extends personal space and varied corridors widths provide a homely feel.

Although contemporary in appearance the building is designed to ensure it has a non-institutional feel by the integration of balconies and other elements. Apartments with southerly aspect have balconies whereas apartments at the rear have angled bays which ‘catch’ either the morning or afternoon sun. A communal roof garden and upper floor apartments will benefit from sea views.
