The Broadway

Stratford

57 Broadway replaces a vacant and unattractive office block with a high quality mixed use building at the heart of Stratford Town Centre.

The site is highly accessible, close to local amenities and transport connections, delivers homes, jobs and enhances the streetscape of the Broadway, the St Johns Conservation Area and the setting of nearby listed buildings.

The scheme delivers homes of varying size and tenure, including affordable family and wheelchair accessible dwellings.

The innovative design, shortlisted for the 2013 Housing Design Awards, sets dual aspect apartments around central semi-covered atria with coloured glass installation by artist Yuko Shiraishi.

MEPK Architects’ were executive architect to contractor Willmott Dixon delivering the concept design by AHMM for East Thames Housing Group.
