Simon studied Architecture at Sheffield University and subsequently worked on cutting edge projects at a design led London practice.

Simon is passionate about housing design. He joined MEPK in 1992 and has been responsible for the design of numerous residential developments in both the affordable and private sectors ranging from suburban houses to high density city apartments. Simon has also overseen many specialist housing projects including  developments providing homes for older persons,  persons with physical & learning disabilities and keyworkers.

Simon’s projects have won a number of awards including the 2021 Inside Housing Best Urban Regeneration, the 2019 NHF National Award for Best Small Development, three London Evening Standard New Homes Awards, a Civic Trust Award and the Almshouse Association Patrons Award granted by HRH Prince of Wales. Two of Simon’s projects were published in an international architecture book ‘Contemporary Living Spaces for the Elderly’.
