DAY’S + ATKINSON’S ALMSHOUSES

This project for the Day’s and Atkinson’s Charity provides 14 new dwellings for a mixed community of persons in need.

The new buildings are located on the site of original almshouses that were destroyed in WW2. The design references both the heritage of the site and historic gothic style almshouses close by.

The project won the Almshouse Association Patron’s Award granted by HRH The Prince of Wales and is one of only a handful of new build projects to win this prestigious award.
